Teen Parent Program - Washington County
The Teen Parents Program is administered through OHDC and serves Washington County.
The Young Parents Program (YPP) from OHDC is partnering with DHS in Washington County to provide additional case management for teens 16-19 years old who are receiving TANF assistance, and completing their high school education (or GED equivalent).
This program is designed to help young parents work towards achieving their educational and personal goals. We will monitor progress in academic completion, provide ongoing case management, in-home or at-school outreach, provide meaningful referrals and complete wrap-around services to help Participants work towards self-sufficiency and academic success.

- 16-19 years old (19 yrs old at beginning of school year)
- Pregnant or Parenting
- TANF recipient (cash-assistance) through DHS office in Beaverton, Tigard, or Hillsboro
- Educational goal to complete high school or high school equivalent diploma
- Referral from primary DHS case worker
Case Management Services Offered:
- Advocacy and Support services
- Face-to face visits as needed
- Support group meetings
- Life skills education
- Parent education
- Job preparation activities
